Francesca has a Master’s Degree in Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Technology, specialising in Cosmetic Science.
Francesca joined CTPA in May 2018 and is currently working as Scientific Affairs Manager. Previously, Francesca worked in Regulatory Affairs and Research & Development for a number of companies, gaining knowledge in product compliance, claims and claims substantiation requirements for the UK and Ireland.
At CTPA, Francesca initially worked in the regulatory department and was responsible for UK and EU regulatory matters concerning cosmetic products; in particular, Francesca worked extensively with members to engage with the UK Government and other relevant trade associations on the future UK regulatory frameworks for cosmetics and feed into key insights for the Brexit negotiations between the UK and the EU. As part of the scientific team, Francesca is now responsible for monitoring ingredients developments, REACH, cosmetovigilance, cosmetic product safety assessment, nanomaterials and other scientific matters for cosmetics.
