For more than 20 years, Dr Stephane PIRNAY has been working in the field of certification, testing, quality control, and toxicological expertise for the products of goods (cosmetics, chemicals, food, drugs…).
1st studies began in 1999 at Inserm U26, at Lariboisiere Hospital in Paris, regarding omega 3 – nutrition and health impacts regarding intracerebral intake of xenobiotics. Then, studies were followed in the field of forensics and toxicological expertise in the Toxicological Laboratory of the Scientific Police in Paris (5 years) from 2000 to 2004.
From 2005 to 2006, Dr Stephane PIRNAY was a visiting fellow at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, USA, regarding drug abuse issues and clinical trials. Back to France in 2006, He was appointed assistant Professor at University Paris V in Toxicology. Up today, he gives courses in different universities and private schools in France. His R&D researches are also continuing especially regarding the following topics: stability, impurity, microbiology of cosmetics and chemicals.
In 2008, he was selected in an independent agency for certifications of cosmetics, goods, and chemicals.
In 2010, he created EXPERTOX, his own independent Laboratory of industrial analysis and agency of Toxicology (www.expertox.eu) based in Paris, France up today.
In 2009 he also started a position of external expert for UNITIS for all the working groups of Cosmetics at the European Commission in Brussels, Belgium up today.
From 2013 he was appointed expert in the Court of Appeal of Paris, France up today
In September 2018 he was elected President of the National association of the court experts in Chemistry (www.cnejc.org) in France.
In September 2021, he was elected associate general secretary of the Union of court experts association for the Court of Appeal of Paris, France.
